Overview

A hotel pool bar sits outside, so its joinery has to match the interior and still cope with the weather. Complete Construction delivered specialist joinery for the new DoubleTree by Hilton in Karaka, Auckland, for NZ Bloodstock. The scope covered cabinetry for the ground floor lobby, the restaurant and bar, and the exterior pool bar, all detailed to the hotel’s standards.

• Keeping the interior and exterior bars looking like one design.
• Working alongside ongoing structure and services.
• Managing logistics and weather during the outdoor pool bar install.

How we solved it

We prefabricated all the cabinetry off site for accuracy and quick delivery. Installs were sequenced with the mechanical, electrical and glazing trades to avoid clashes. Close work with the main contractor and Hilton kept the finishes consistent from lobby to pool bar.

Outcome

Delivered to schedule, the cabinetry lifts guest arrival, dining and poolside, with durable finishes that tie the indoor and outdoor spaces together. DoubleTree Karaka is hotel joinery that works inside and out.
