Overview

Fitting out a café airside means every material has to clear airport security and fire rules before it reaches the floor. Complete Construction delivered the Fern & Co café and bar at Christchurch International Airport for SSP. Sitting airside, the space pairs natural timber with metal finishes for a modern Kiwi look.

How we solved it

We ran the works in off peak hours and stayed in close contact with airport operations. Prefabricated joinery was delivered just in time to keep disruption down, and close work with the designers and suppliers held the quality.

Outcome

Fern & Co opened on time and to spec as a warm, high traffic hospitality space. Fern & Co is a café fitout delivered airside in a live, secure terminal.
