Overview

Running two luxury retail fitouts at once, one airside at an airport and one in a mall, is a coordination job as much as a build. Complete Construction delivered two premium Michael Kors stores in Auckland for Capri, one airside at Auckland International Airport and one at Westfield Newmarket. Both were built to strict international brand standards, with marble, stainless steel and imported high spec finishes.

Key challenges

• Meeting the airport’s strict security and seismic rules.
• Coordinating with Capri’s Hong Kong based team at Newmarket.
• Installing a large glass fronted honeycomb feature sign.

How we solved it

We modified and staged the off site joinery locally to cut airport disruption and speed up installation. At Newmarket we coordinated the offshore logistics and managed the external signage install under tight traffic and lifting controls.

Outcome

Both stores opened on time to global specification. Michael Kors is proof of Complete Construction’s high end retail delivery in complex, time sensitive Auckland locations.
