Overview

Building a rooftop bar on level 38 means every material comes up through tight CBD access and delivery restrictions. Complete Construction delivered the full fitout for Queens Rooftop Bar atop the InterContinental Hotel on Queen Street in Auckland. The scope covered premium joinery, bespoke storage, integrated services and feature elements to suit Techne’s design.

• Installing the fitout alongside structural and services works.
• Detailing the joinery to tie into the curved bar and wall features.

How we solved it

We prefabricated the fitout elements off site for precision and quick installation. Sequenced works and timed deliveries kept disruption down, while close work with Techne and the main contractor held the design.

Outcome

Queens Rooftop was completed on programme with careful detailing and durable finishes, and now reads as a standout waterfront venue. Queens Rooftop is a rooftop hospitality fitout delivered on a constrained CBD site.
