Overview

Installing a 5 tonne spiral staircase inside a live hotel structure, and fitting out a bar 38 floors up, are both jobs of timing and access. Complete Construction delivered the interior fitout of VOCO Auckland on Albert Street, including the lobby with its bronze wrapped spiral staircase, the Level 38 rooftop bar and the penthouse suite. The scope covered wall panelling, parquet flooring, integrated services and marble and timber finishes, to suit SJB’s design.

• Precise joinery across several high traffic zones.
• Complex curved and fitted surfaces at tight tolerances.

How we solved it

We managed design, prefabrication and installation with strict quality control. Zone by zone sequencing and close work with ICON and specialist trades delivered the parquet, marble detailing and curved panelling. Larger rooftop materials were craned in before the façade closed.

Outcome

Delivered on programme, the fitout gave VOCO precise, durable interiors. The lobby, rooftop bar and penthouse show how Complete Construction delivers complex hotel fitouts at height.
